While there are innumerable ways, small and big, to get involved in the life and ministry of Catalyst Church, there are four main streams of engagement that you can consider. Each avenue will provide a relational setting where you can truly belong, contribute, and make a difference.
Our Sunday Morning worship gathering is very important to us. You are invited to join us as we worship our great God by hearing from Him and responding to Him. The primary way that we “hear from God” is through the preaching of His Word. We respond through songs, prayers, offerings, partaking of the Lord’s Table (Communion), and caring for one another. All in all, expect to experience the truth and love of Jesus Christ in a very relational and welcoming atmosphere for people of all ages.

Catalyst Church is committed to serving Central New York. Currently, we are seeking to find ways we can be a blessing to young families and their children, college students, and single mothers. The Eastside of Syracuse has a 30% greater rate of single motherhood that the national average. Through a partnership that we have through two area hospitals (St. Joseph Hospital & Crouse Memorial), you can provide a care package to a single mother who has just given birth for only $15.00. This care package includes a reusable tote bag, gender appropriate clothing, a thermometer, and other helpful resources. Of course, you also can put together your own and we will ensure that it is given to a mom in need.

Everyone has a gift and a passion that is helpful for building up the body of Christ. At Catalyst, we have five ministry teams that make things happen and strengthen our growing body. We encourage every person who calls Catalyst Church home to serve on a Ministry Team.
Experience Team:
The music, media, and message of our Sunday morning worship gatherings. If you are gifted and passionate musically, technically, etc. this team would fit you well.

This team is focused on ensuring that everyone who comes to a Catalyst gathering feels welcome and cared for. If you are passionate and gifted in the areas of hospitality, greeting, and making new relationships, this is a great place for you.

Formation Team:
This team is our “discipleship arm”. They are responsible for providing adequate opportunities for our people to grow in their relationship with God. It coordinates small group ministries, leadership development, retreats, etc.

Extension Team:
This team is responsible for “getting us out” into the community through servant evangelism, community care, and equipping our people to speak the truth and share the love of Jesus during the “9 to 5”. If you are passionate about these areas, you’ll find a fit here.

Catalyst Kids & Youth Team:
Jesus loves kids. So do we. If you are passionate and gifted in Children or Youth Ministry, we invite you to get involved in this ministry team. It is an “all of the above” way to see our kids experience the truth and love of Jesus.
