Our Mission
Our mission .....
is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by speaking the truth and sharing the love of Jesus Christ so every man, woman, and child in Central New York is eternally transformed.
The world is tragically confused about truth. The clarity about truth and the real meaning of life is found in one person, Jesus Christ. In fact, Jesus himself claims to be the truth. “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Truth is more than a concept. Truth is more than our subjective experience tells us. The world needs a transformation in its understanding of truth.
Truth is a person. His name is Jesus.
The world is lacking in its experience of selfless love. “It’s all about me,” has become the slogan of our day which reflects the self-driven, self-centered society concerning only what people or products can do to benefit us. Yet, it is the selfless love of Jesus Christ that we all long for in the deepest part of who we are. For the selfish love that drives us to receive leaves us empty and lacking longing for more without satisfaction. Jesus’ love is quite different. “This is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His one and only Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” “God is love.” Love is not simply an experience of fleeting desire and passion. The world needs a transformation in its experience (or lack thereof) of genuine, selfless love.
The world is increasingly disconnected in relationship. Central New York has experienced significant growth in the number of occupied homes since the last census and yet, the population has not experienced any significant growth. Bottom line: people are living alone. In a world of acquaintances, we see very little of younger people experiencing authentic relationship. Yet again, Jesus emulates the essence of relationship as He states, “I and the Father are one.”
We trust that people who know the truth of Jesus and experience the love of Jesus will be eternally transformed.
