Our Core Values

Truth as embodied, revealed and relevant.

People today are in bondage, literally shacked by confusion.  The information age promises factual knowledge about anyone and anything, yet people are left without any anchor when it comes to the truth.  Our understanding of truth is that it is (1) embodied in a person, (2) graciously revealed to us on the pages of the Old and New Testaments, and (3) absolute in its authority and relevance.  Truth is embodied, revealed, and eternally relevant in the  person and work of Jesus Christ.  When embraced in Jesus Christ, truth brings us freedom.  “You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”  He whom the Son has freed is free indeed.”  Truth transforms our confusion into clarity.  Knowing the truth transforms our whole life.

Love as holy and redemptive.

People long to be loved.  As consumers, we always pursue satisfaction the products ands services that are available to us.  Yet, “stuff” never seems to grant us the inner, lasting joy that our soul pursues.  The experience of genuine love, giving and receiving, offers a deeper level of satisfaction than any Ipod or HDTV can offer.  Any lacking in our experience of love keeps us searching for intimacy, acceptance, and ultimate satisfaction.     The Bible says these three remain: “faith, hope, and love.  But the greatest of these is love.”  Also, the “greatest of these” is fully embodied in the person of Jesus.  “This is love, not that we loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.”  Jesus is holy and redemptive love offered to us for our full and final satisfaction.  Again, the love of Jesus transforms our experience of being unsatisfied, unaccepted, and unaffirmed.  In fact, this love transforms us to be welcomed into the family of God as His children.

Relationship with God, one another, and the world.

Life without relatonship is no life at all.    Young people today enjoy the blessings of “friends” on their myspace page, but go lay in bed wondering if there is anyone who really knows them.  Is there anyone we can trust?  In Jesus, the answer is yes!  Jesus exudes authentic relationship when He says, “I and the Father are one.”  Life with the people of God is beyond programming.  It is relatoinal.  It is loyal.  It is all about people.  Relationships transform people and rcommunities.

Transformation as internal and eternal.

As we experience the truth and love of Jesus together, we anticipate with great hope that we will be internally and eternally transformed into the fullness of what it means to be human.  Sin has ripped true humanity away from us, but God has offered, in Jesus Christ, His Son a journey home to realy humanity.  This journey is the lifelong process of being transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ.  It is a journey we embark on together with assurance that “He who began a good work in us will carry it on into completion.”

As we express and exemplify the truth and lov e of Jesus toward our world,  we will have a lasting and eternal impact on our world.  Our hope is to be used as catalysts being agents of transfomation.  The last thing soceity needs is another religious institution that offers a fascade of spirituality and no genuine assurance of salvation.  Our vision is to be a people who give people a lifechanging encounter with Jesus.
